I'm currently a junior in high school and I've had to do my fair share of book reports. I also know the struggle of your teacher taking you to the school library to pick out books and having them turn down your pick because it's been turned into a movie. These books not only have yet to be bought and turned into movies but are in the Teen/Young Adult category and should have a decent page count not too high for book reports/summary cards!
1) Looking for Alaska by John Green (also his first novel)
I did a book project on this novel my freshman year because, out of all the John Green books in the library it was the only one that hasn't been turned into a movie. The main character (Miles Halter) who is obsessed with peoples last words, goes off to a school, out of state in Alabama. He befriends his new roommate (Chip Martin) and obviously the main female character (Alaska Young), It follows them around school, their adventures. The Story leads up to the big moment when they actually go Looking For Alaska. I Don't want to spoil to much but its a great book, I recommend it.

2) The Selection by Kiera Cass
One of my favorite books, but the movie rights have been bought by Warner Brothers so I'd act soon on this one, Although I'm not sure about the films release date or anything other then the rights have been bought. This book is set in the far future, the government is a monarchy sort of gov. and the people are all divided into a caste system by their job (and who they marry up or down the caste system). For every young prince or princess they hold The Selection, where 24 some girls are chosen from all the castes to come and date the prince and see who gets to marry him and become princess and soon queen. I realize now this is basically the bachelor but set in a castle, and there is bad guys involved. no spoilers, hope you take the time to read! An enjoyable read for a book report.

3) Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone
I. Love. This. Book. I also read this book for Pre-AP English my Freshman year and i thought it was amazing. It came out only 3 years ago, and follows the life of Samantha McAllister, who struggled with OCD, and kept it from her friends, they were the popular girls in school. They aren't very great friends but she keeps them worrying about what people with thinks, she meets Caroline who introduces her to a poetry group, and she begins writing the poetry which helps her let her feelings out and uses it as an outlet with her new friends (and crush oops go read it). Also gives insight on OCD and what its like for someone who actually Has OCD and deals with it daily. This is an amazing book that was assigned to me and I was shocked over how much I loved it.

4) Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
One of my all time favorite book series is Vampire Academy, and the sequel series Bloodlines! You don't need to have read Vampire Academy (VA) in order to love and understand this book. It follows alchemist Sydney Sage on her journey in Palm Springs at a boarding school to help Princess Jillian Dragomir adjust living away from St. Vladimirs Academy and to redeem herself in the eyes of her fellow alchemists after helping Rose Hathaway in the VA series. A longer read (over 400 pages) but I think it's more enjoyable so it doesn't feel as long.

5) Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (not here for any drama just the book)
I really enjoyed the novel and sequels (GO: On Tour & GO: Going Solo). It follows a blogger named Penny Porter who is only 15 and lives in Brighton, England. She blogs in secret (which kinda reminds me of Jenna on Awkward. but anyways) she uses the blog as her outlet for life, posting about her classmates, crushes, classes, etc. One of her parents is a Wedding planner and gets a big job to go to NYC, while there Penny meets a young musician named Noah, and I think you might see where this is going. I thought it was cool and more on the "regular modern teen".
